Jasper Anglican Church
St. Mary & St. George
Starting Nov. 7th, we will again meet every Sunday morning at 10:30am in the church.
Covid protocols will be in place and, for now, proof of vaccination or negative test result will be required.
In a way, it feels wrong to create this threshold that says certain people are not allowed to join. But here we are, two years into a pandemic, trying to do the best we can. We feel strongly about respecting people with different perspectives and we believe we can respect each other even when we have deep disagreements. Please feel free to reach out if you have any comments, questions, or concerns.
Sent us an email to email@example.com or follow us on Facebook to get updates and to stay connected.
If you have any questions or if there is anything we can do to help, please give us a call at 780 852 4505
We are located in the town of Jasper, AB inside Jasper National Park. JNP is located in Treaty 6 and 8 territories. This land is the traditional territory, meeting ground, gathering place, travelling route and home for the Dane-zaa, Nêhiyawak, Anishinaabe, Secwépemc, Nakota, and Métis Nations. The railway and Jasper National park were created in part through the ex-appropriation of this land and the forcible expulsion of Indigenous and Metis people and so when we acknowledge the land, we reflect on these facts and how they relate to how we work and live on the land today. Our goal is to think about and acknowledge this land not to absolve ourselves of our responsibility to meaningfully address the ongoing colonization of indigenous people and lands, but to challenge and commit to dismantling systems that continue to oppress and harm Indigenous people to this day.
